Newsletter October 2016

Dear members of SITM,

I realize that most of you seemingly have problems with my funny construction of a doodle collection and poll about the topics of the Genova colloquium. Let me try to explain a bit more detailed how it works:

If you access http://doodle.com/poll/gr8qezrv58rbpk5r you will find a table with titles/topics in the first column. All the other columns have numbers. Only a few of the other columns have ratings in them.

To suggest a new topic, just take the next line and add a topic in the first column.

  1. To rate the topics that are already suggested (including your own), choose one of the numbered columns that are still empty and decide that this one is yours. (Whenever you return to the poll, remember which column is yours, since it does not carry your name, just a number.) Now click on each topic in the first column that you would like to vote on. You will see a pencil. Click on it, go to your column and choose “yes” (green), “Yes, if necessary” (yellow) or “no” red. Repeat this for all topics. And, please, stick to your column for the ratings.
  2. To discuss topics, click on the field “comments” and write your comment/ question/ complaint there.
  3. Please save everything before you leave.

I would be grateful if you could give it a try until October 15th. If you should decide that this is too difficult for you, please simply send me your suggested topics via e-mail, and I’ll start a “normal” doodle poll thereafter, which will not allow any further suggestions.

Wishing you all the best
